CONSTRUCTION

PLMJ’s knowledge and experience of both the substantive and procedural aspects of construction law is widely acknowledged and its construction law team is the core around which this expertise is developed and coordinated.
The construction law team provides legal support for the licensing process and subsequent support to all those involved in the field of construction: contractors, project designers, suppliers, project inspectors and promoters. In addition it provides support in the hiring of contractors and the supply of materials and services for projects, in overseeing project management, in monitoring compliance with construction laws and in resolving disputes through the courts or arbitration.
As a reflection of the value accorded to experience and scope of operation, the construction law team includes PLMJ founding partner Jose Miguel Júdice and a group of skilled and experienced lawyers. The team’s depth of knowledge of Portuguese and international practices (such as the FIDIC model and others), procedural mechanisms and alternative dispute resolution is second to none.
