The PLMJ criminal law team is an extremely mature and highly specialised team with experience stemming from the hundreds of legal proceedings – in all their procedural stages - in which they have played a part.
The members of this team work almost exclusively in matters of a criminal nature, which affords them a very high level of expertise.
The team’s practice area includes the various aspects of criminal law, ranging from the traditional offences set out in the Portuguese Criminal Code to the new fields of punitive law, such as tax and social security crime law, money-laundering, corruption in sport, market protection and IT law.
