Paulo is a partner in the Dispute Resolution practice. He has more than 30 years’ experience in criminal law, white-collar crime, compliance and sports law.
Paulo was vice-president of the Disciplinary Council of the Lisbon Football Association between January and November 2012, when he joined the professional football board of Sporting Clube de Portugal SAD. He completed a postgraduate course in accounting and legal advice at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. He also attended a postgraduate course in European economic crime law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and the executive course in football law at the Portugal Football School of the Portuguese Football Federation.
Paulo has contributed to conferences and seminars on criminal law, criminal procedure, administrative offences and sports law.
He is a founding member of Fórum Penal - an association of criminal lawyers - and a member of other professional associations such as the European Criminal Bar Association (ECBA), Union Internationale des Avocats (UIA) and the Portuguese Sports Law Association (APDD).
