Tiago Mendonça de Castro speaks to Expresso about French investment in Portugal

The latest issue of the newspaper Expresso features an article on French groups that specialise in retirement homes investing in Portugal to set up homes for French citizens who acquire non-habitual resident (NHR) status. For Tiago Mendonça de Castro, the head of PLMJ’s real estate practice, “there was a maturity period before we could see whether the new NHR measure would work. The interest has been confirmed and they are now in the phase of acquiring properties.”
