PLMJ returns to the shortlist for the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence

PLMJ is once again on the shortlist for the ‘Portugal Law Firm of the Year’ award given by the prestigious international directory Chambers & Partners. On this shortlist every year since 2009, PLMJ won this award 2009, 2012 and 2014.

The Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence recognise excellence in the provision of legal services and are based on an evaluation of the work done by lawyers and the deals that stood out over the last year. These awards are a landmark evaluation for clients seeking legal services and they also recognise strategic vision and capacity for innovation in client service. 

PLMJ’s place on the 2015 shortlist was, in large part, due to the high number of important deals it handled. It remains the firm of choice for large Portuguese and international public and private companies that rely on PLMJ to defend their interests and support them in their growth and internationalisation projects. PLMJ’s work in a number of cross-border operations, particularly in Angola, Mozambique, China and Switzerland, and hundreds of domestic litigation cases and a number of major international arbitrations also contributed to this nomination. 

These awards are Chambers’ annual recognition of excellence in legal services and they reward involvement in major operations, as well as strategic vision and capacity for innovation in service of the client. This year’s ceremony takes place in Amsterdam on 24 April.
