PLMJ nominated once again for 'Tax Firm of The Year' by International Tax Review

PLMJ is once again among the finalists for the 11th edition of the European Tax Awards (2016). The awards are organised by prestigious tax law publication, International Tax Review, and PLMJ is nominated for Portuguese 'Tax Firm of the Year'. PLMJ, which last won this award in 2014, is nominated alongside leading Portuguese law and consultancy firms including VdA, Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho, RFF, Garrigues' Taxand Portugal, Ernst & Young and Baker Tilly.
 
For Nuno Cunha Barnabé, the partner who heads PLMJ Tax “this nomination brings international recognition to PLMJ's tax team, an experienced team that continues to be the choice of our clients and colleagues from the leading foreign law firms to advise on the most important restructuring and investment operations and tax litigation cases in Portugal”.
 
The team which has been led by partner Nuno Cunha Barnabé since April, also includes partners João Magalhães Ramalho (the previous head), Serena Cabrita Neto and Miguel Reis. Together, these partners manage a team of lawyers with capacity to act not only in Portugal (Lisbon, Oporto and Faro), but also internationally in Angola, Mozambique, Switzerland, the UK, Brazil and Italy.
 
International Tax Review is a publication that specialises in analysing the international tax services market. Its awards are based on an evaluation of the performance of tax specialists in specific cases and deals, and this evaluation is based on the opinion of the clients involved.
