José-Miguel Júdice, Mariana França Gouveia and João Ilhão Moreira to speak at Oxford Symposium on Comparative International Commercial Arbitration

José-Miguel Júdice, the partner who heads PLMJ Arbitration, Mariana França Gouveia, PLMJ Arbitration of counsel, and João Ilhão Moreira, PLMJ Arbitration associate, will all speak at the Oxford Symposium on Comparative International Commercial Arbitration. The symposium takes place on 29 November at Wolfson College Oxford.

José-Miguel Júdice will be a speaker on the panel addressing the topic of “Arbitration and Corruption” (João Ilhão Moreira will be the moderator). The topic of Júdice’s contribution will be “Corruption and Arbitration: Much ado About Nothing?” Mariana França Gouveia will speak on “Ex Parte Interim Measures in Arbitration: Stretching Arbitration to its limits”.

The Oxford Symposium on Comparative International Commercial Arbitration will bring together leading Brazilian and European specialists, including Sir Bernard Rix (former Lord of Justice of the Court of Appeal), Jan Kleinheisterkamp (LSE), Stravios Berkoulakis and Loukas Mistellis (Queen Mary University), Marcelo Huck, Pedro Batista Martins, Gilberto Giusti, Fabiano Robalinho, Felipe Vollbrecht Sperandio and Carlos Alberto Carmona. The event is organised by the Commercial Law Centre of the University of Oxford under the coordination of Brazilian lawyer André Luís Monteiro.
