In the article, Inês de Castro Ruivo explains that "very often technology advances faster than the law, so this currently raises a lot of questions. For some, the complexity of the legal issues is bound to delay the entry of this technology into the market. It is hoped that States will manage to achieve a level of regulation and significantly broad consensus to allow these vehicles to drive on the roads, which will then make it possible to perfect the technology and increase peoples’ confidence in these vehicles".
