Manuel Santos Vítor and Nuno Luís Sapateiro write opinion article for the IBA

Manuel Santos Vítor, a partner from PLMJ Corporate/M&A and Nuno Luís Sapateiro, a managing associate from the same practice area, have written an opinion article about aircraft leasing under Portuguese law for Aviation Law Committee News, published by the International Bar Association.

In the article, the PLMJ lawyers explain that "The market practice in Portugal is for the lenders to be secured by means of one or more Irrevocable Deregistration Power(s) of Attorney granted by the parties directly involved with the operation of the aircraft and to have other contractual arrangements as part of the security package, namely a security assignment, assignment of insurances, security deposit, etc."
