PLMJ Highly Commended at The Lawyer European Awards 2018

16/03/2018

PLMJ is the number one Portuguese law firm in the Iberian market, according to the leading British legal publication The Lawyer. The law firm was Highly Commended at The Lawyer European Awards 2018, an event where PLMJ represented the highest level of the Portuguese legal profession.

For PLMJ managing partner, Luís Pais Antunes, who was among a very small number of people shortlisted for the European Managing Partner of the Year award, "this recognition at The Lawyer European Awards 2018 is an award for the 420 lawyers and staff at PLMJ. It comes after the celebrations of our 50th anniversary at which we honoured the firm's founding partners and all the professionals who have worked here over the years and contributed to building this institution. It is now a privilege to be able to continue the work of our predecessors and to work for PLMJ as it continues to consolidate its position as a leader at the forefront of the legal profession, and a firm that always provides the best and most efficient response to its clients".

In an exceptional year for PLMJ, as it reached its 50th anniversary, the firm has frequently been recognised with the most prestigious awards, both in terms of individual lawyers and of the firm as a whole. This recognition results from the firm's capacity to understand and deal with its clients' projects and the markets involved, and on its capacity to add value for its clients.

The Lawyer European Awards 2018 evaluate law firms' management, strategic vision and capacity to innovate, as well as their client service., and they are seen as a celebration of excellence and professionalism in business law. The awards are held annually and seek to reward the work of law firms at an event that is an important date on the calendar of European lawyers.
