PLMJ strengthens EU and Competition practice by hiring Andrea Gomes da Silva

Andrea Gomes da Silva joins PLMJ's EU and Competition team in November as Special Advisor bringing with her experience that is unmatched in the Portuguese market.

Before joining PLMJ, Andrea was a member of the Board of the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), with particular responsibility for the CMA’s merger work. She also provided strategic advice on the work done by the authority in this area. 

Andrea joined Freshfields, one of the world's leading law firms, in 2001. She became a partner in 2008 and played an important role in the development of Freshfields' international partnership programme Stronger Together, which is today a solid network of more than 300 offices worldwide. Andrea was responsible for the firm’s relationships in Portuguese-speaking countries.
