Bruno Ferreira writes about the relevance of ESG factors from a human rights perspective

04/06/2021

Bruno Ferreira, PLMJ's managing partner and a partner in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices, has written an opinion article on one more perspective to analyse the relevance of ESG (environmental, social and governance) factors in the way companies operate, instead of focusing exclusively on maximising shareholder profit. The article "Human Rights: looking the other way is going to cost" is published in the Executive Digest and you can read it (in Portuguese) here.

PLMJ recently launched its Responsible Business practice to offer legal and strategic advice to companies to help them do business in a way that respects the rules of responsible conduct. As a result of the more recent market focus on considering ESG factors, this area brings together the firm's experience in matters related to sustainable and social financing, companies and human rights and business ethics.
