Mariana França Gouveia takes part in the 7th SOAS Arbitration in Africa

Mariana França Gouveia, a partner in PLMJ's Dispute Resolution practice, is to take part in the conference '7th SOAS Arbitration in Africa' organised by the University of London's School of African Studies on 23 and 24 November online.

The PLMJ lawyer will take part in the panel discussion on the topic 'How African States can Promote Domestic and Cross-Border Mediation' with special focus on mediation in the countries of Portuguese-speaking Africa and the need for state intervention to bring about change.

The 7th SOAS Arbitration in Africa Conference is jointly organised with the Casablanca International Mediation and Arbitration Centre (CIMAC) and this year's theme is the Navigation of African States' Interests in Arbitration and Mediation.
