PLMJ International Legal Network earns international recognition in the IFLR 1000 rankings in the area of Energy and Infrastructure

The network of partners, PLMJ International Legal Network has received international recognition in the area of Energy and Infrastructure in the IFLR1000 rankings. The directory highlights the excellence of the services provided by PLMJ International Legal Network in China, Angola through GLA and Mozambique through TTA. 

In Angola, IFLR divided the category of Energy and Infrastructure into two areas, Infrastructure and Oil and Gas. In this category, PLMJ maintained its position in Ranking 2. The main highlights in Angola of the recommendations as Leading Lawyers for PLMJ’s managing partner, Manuel Santos Vítor, and for Pedro Metello Nápoles, the partner who heads PLMJ’s Angola Desk. Bruno Xavier de Pina, a senior associate on PLMJ’s Angola Desk, was recommended for the first time as a Rising Star. Also recommended as Rising Stars were GLA senior associates João Bravo da Costa and Renato Valenti.

In Mozambique, where PLMJ is represented by TTA, the firm maintained the position it achieved in 2014 of Ranking 3. Manuel Santos Vítor was recommended as a Leading Lawyer, as was PLMJ international partner, Tomás Timbane, who heads TTA. Bruno Xavier de Pina was recommended for the first time as a Rising Star. 

This year, and recognised in this category for the first time, PLMJ is the only Portuguese law firm to appear in the rankings for China, where it appears alongside Freshfields. Both firms are recommended in the category of “other notables”.

PLMJ’s consistence and the fact it has remained in leading positions are a result of the major operations that PLMJ International Legal Network has been involved in over the past year, which were recognised as being the most significant. Importantly, these recommendations in the IFLR 1000 rankings are based on the opinions of in-house counsel from the leading Portuguese and international financial.
