PLMJ has 22 practice areas ranked and 58 lawyers recommended in The Legal 500

For 2018, the firm has 11 lawyers named as ‘Leading Individuals’ and six as ‘Next Generation Lawyers’. PLMJ Network is also recognised for its leading position with its offices in Angola (GLA) and Mozambique (TTA).

The results of the British online directory, The Legal 500, once again highlight the excellence of the services and advice provided by PLMJ. The firm is recommended as a Top-tier Firm in 12 areas of practice, one more than in 2017, with the Projects and Project Finance practice receiving the top ranking.

There is also individual recognition for 71 PLMJ lawyers and this reflects the across-the-board quality of its teams: 11 Leading Individuals, 54 lawyers recommended in their areas, and 7 Next Generation Lawyers.

The PLMJ Leading Individuals are partners: Diogo Perestrelo, Luís Sáragga Leal, José-Miguel Júdice, Nuno Líbano Monteiro (in litigation and in corporate restructuring), Abel Mesquita, Tiago Cortes, João Medeiros, Manuel Cavaleiro Brandão, Tomás Pessanha and Daniel Reis. The firm is particularly proud of the recognition by clients, peers and the market of the new generation PLMJ lawyers named Next Generation Lawyers. They are Pedro Barosa, Rodrigo Formigal, Manuel Liberal Jerónimo (Porto), Filipa Cansado Carvalho, Luís Pinto Monteiro, Natércia Sitoé (Mozambique) and Sara Blanco de Morais.

The firms focus on Portuguese language countries through PLMJ Network has also been recognised with recommendations in tier 1. Both TTA (Mozambique) and GLA (Angola) have doubled their number of individual recommendations. The team focused on the Mozambique market has four individual recommendations, Nuno Morais Sarmento, Miguel Spínola and locally Tomás Timbane And Natércia Sitoé. The Angola experts have also strengthened their leading position with four new entries in Inês Pinto da Costa and Bruno Xavier de Pina and Angolan lawyers Francisco Neves and Sandra Saraiva.
