PLMJ achieves two nominations for prestigious Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards

19/09/2017

PLMJ has been nominated once again for the Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Awards.

These prestigious awards celebrate innovation in European law firms, and PLMJ has been shortlisted for two awards: as the most innovative law firm in Europe (excluding the United Kingdom), and for its work on one of the most innovative operations in the market.

PLMJ has consistently invested in innovation. The creation of a "robot" to simplify the work of lawyers by gathering together all the information relating to the matters they deal with has guaranteed the firm’s nomination for Most Innovative Law Firm in Europe (outside the UK). The system created by the firm is completely innovative and has been fully developed in-house. It works on any mobile device and this enables lawyers to access the application wherever they are.

However, PLMJ has not only been shortlisted for its technological innovation. The legal support it provided in the second phase of the privatisation of TAP also earned a nomination for the innovative nature of the operation.

For PLMJ managing partner Luís Pais Antunes these nominations "are yet further recognition of the importance PLMJ places on innovation in providing first class legal services to its clients. We are proud of having followed this path, which has helped to bring greater prestige to the Portuguese legal profession".

This is now the 11th edition of these awards and, over the past decade, have assessed innovation in the legal sector in more than 50 countries, covering 400 law firms and a further 400 company in-house legal departments.

The awards ceremony is taking place on 4 October in London and you can learn more about it by clicking here.
