PLMJ announces 8 new managing associates

PLMJ has recently announced the promotion of eight lawyers to the position of managing associate, a decision that resulted from the partners' general meeting.

According to managing partner, Luís Pais Antunes, with these appointments "PLMJ is taking yet another important step to strengthen its internal organisation and it now has a group of more than two dozen managing associates. This is a continuation of a policy that characterises PLMJ, one of organic growth and of recognition of the technical and human qualities, and the professional merit of its lawyers."

Based on the excellent work done they have been doing and on their ongoing contribution to increasing PLMJ’s competitiveness and reputation de PLMJ, the following lawyers have been named managing associates:

  • Abel de Barbosa Mendonça, from the corporate / M&A practice
  • Carla Góis Coelho, from the litigation and dispute resolution, and restructuring & financial litigation practices
  • Eduardo Finamore Correia from the healthcare, life sciences and pharmaceuticals practice
  • Marco Ramalheiro, from the employment and labour practice
  • Maria Inês Assis, from the tax practice
  • Manuel da Silva Gomes, from the environmental, and the public and administrative law practices
  • Manuel Liberal Jerónimo, from the corporate / M&A, private equity, restructuring and financial litigation, and sports law practices
  • Teresa Madeira Afonso, from the corporate / M&A and private equity practices

With these promotions, PLMJ has strengthened its position as the leading law firm with the most senior lawyers in Portugal, with 23 managing associates, 51 senior associates, and 60 partners, from a total of 279 lawyers.
