19/09/2017

PLMJ's managing partner, Luís Pais Antunes, was one of the speakers at 'The Business Leadership Summit 2017', which took place in London on 26 September.

Luís Pais Antunes chaired the panel entitled 'International perspective: Achieving growth in uncertain times'. The other members of the panel were Alex Chadwick, managing partner at Baker McKenzie LLP in London, and Jeremy Hoyland, managing partner at Simmons & Simmons LLP.

The theme of the event was 'Building the law firm of 2025', and it was attended by around 120 directors, CEOs, managing partners and general counsel, and leaders from the largest multinationals and global companies discussed the future of the business legal professional. According to the organisers, this was "a time to exchange perspectives, where the only certainty is the change being felt in the market for law firms and legal services. New mechanisms and structures, and technology, are redefining the sector. The change will be felt across the board and in all fields. This means that leaders are already focused on purchasing processes, technology lifecycles and the future impact of the changes that are taking place"

This event was organised by the British publication, The Lawyer.
