Hugo Rosa Ferreira discusses the future of banking at NPL EUROPE 2017 – London

Hugo Rosa Ferreira, the partner who heads PLMJ Banking and Finance, is taking part in the congress NPL EUROPE 2017. The topic of this event is non-performing loans (NPLs) and it will take place in London until September in London. Hugo will join the panel discussing the topic, Looking for a Solution for Portugal’s NPL Problem. This panel will look at the reasons why Portugal has the third highest rate of overdue credit in Europe, the Portuguese government’s proposal to resolve the problem of non-performing loans, and what can be done by banks to resolve the problem.

This event has been organised by SmithNovak in order to address the state of European markets, with a particular focus on Portugal, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey and Ukraine. It will also focus on the European Union and the case of China. The event will be attended by the most influential investors, promoters, consultants and law firms from more than 30 countries. They will debate topics including public debt, non-performing loans, investment strategies, and the future of banking among many other topics.

PLMJ is sponsoring two days of conferences, lectures and workshops that will take place on 28 and 29 September at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London. The event is expected to welcome more than 400 participants and 200 companies, hundreds of networking meetings have been arranged.
