About António Pedro

António is of counsel in the Dispute Resolution practice and has 12 years’ experience as a lawyer. He has participated as a lawyer, secretary and arbitrator in domestic and international arbitrations, seated in Portugal and other countries, in cases in institutional arbitration centres and in ad hoc cases. António also has experience in alternative dispute resolution, civil and commercial litigation, and sports law.

He is on several lists of arbitrators, in particular, at the CAC-CCIP, Concórdia, CAAD and Arbitrare.

António participates as a lecturer, speaker and moderator at conferences, seminars, courses and postgraduate courses in Portugal and abroad on the subjects of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. He is also the author of books and scientific articles on arbitration.

António is currently a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa, on the master’s in litigation and arbitration.

He has a PhD in law, specialising procedural law/arbitration, from the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and he completed a postgraduate course in arbitration at the same university.
