About Louiza

Louiza is of counsel in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices. With over 15 years’ experience, Louiza advises financial institutions, asset managers and issuers on debt and equity capital markets, corporate and structured finance transactions, including IPOs and follow-on offerings, stand-alone and MTN bond issuance, Rule 144A and Regulation S offerings, securitisation and classic financing.

Louiza has extensive know-how and experience in the oil and gas industry, advising on M&A deals, equity and debt funding transactions, negotiation of production sharing contracts, FEED contracts, seismic acquisition and processing agreements, concession agreements, JOAs and EPCs, with the main exposure to Africa and other emerging markets.

Louiza has an LL.M. in Securities and Financial Regulations from Georgetown University Law Center. She is admitted to the New York State Bar and the Law Society of Ireland.

Before joining PLMJ, Louiza was a senior international adviser at Vieira de Almeida and, prior to re-locating to Portugal, worked at several major international law firms in London, Washington DC and Moscow, including Allen & Overy, Orrick and Cleary Gottlieb. In addition, for over 5 years, Louiza has been on secondment with Galp Energia.
