About Sónia

Sónia is an of counsel in the Tax practice. She has around 15 years’ experience, specialising in Angolan and Mozambican tax law.

Sónia has provided tax and customs advice to multinational companies and has also worked on tax and customs litigation cases. Her clients come from the areas of services, industry, health, wholesale and retail.

She has been a guest lecturer in the legal-economic sciences group of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon since 2012. She teaches the subjects of tax law and financial markets law. Sónia is also an associate researcher at the CIDEFF (Centre for Research in European, Economic, Financial and Tax Law) and was a guest lecturer on the postgraduate courses of the faculty of law in the area of taxation.

She is currently studying for a doctorate in tax law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and already has a master’s in legal-economic sciences, specialising in tax law, from the same faculty.

Sónia is the author of numerous legal publications and is a member of the list of arbitrators of the CAAD - Administrative Arbitration Centre in tax matters.
