Mariana is a partner in the Arbitration practice and has over 20 years’ experience in more than 30 arbitration cases, as a lawyer and as an arbitrator. She is regularly appointed as an arbitrator in domestic and international commercial arbitrations with their seats in various parts of the world.
Since 2018, Mariana has been the director of the Faculty of Law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa and, since 2003, an associate professor at the same university, where she coordinates the master’s in court and arbitration law.
She is the author of extensive scientific works, among others, in the areas of arbitration law and civil procedure law.
Mariana is a member of the Portuguese Arbitration Association and the Portuguese ICC Arbitration Committee.
