António is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice. He has around 15 years’ experience in dispute resolution, focusing first on litigation and, in the last 10 years, on arbitration and mediation.
Over recent years, António has been involved as a lawyer in more than 20 arbitrations, both international and domestic, under a variety of arbitration regulations, and with their seat in various countries.
He represents clients in sectors including energy, transport, tourism, construction and international trade.
António organises and participates as speaker at conferences and seminars on arbitration. He also contributes to master’s and postgraduate arbitration courses at the leading faculties of law. He is the author of numerous articles in the field of arbitration and mediation, and he has worked on the Portuguese Arbitration Association’s Voluntary Arbitration Law Annotated since its third edition.
António has an LL.M. in international legal studies from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC.
He is a member of the APA – Portuguese Arbitration Association.
António was an associate at the law firm Garrigues between 2006 and 2009.
