About Paulo

Paulo is a senior associate in the Dispute Resolution practice and has 9 years’ experience as a lawyer. He has particular experience in corporate litigation, civil and commercial matters, and insolvency and restructuring. His clients include listed companies, investment funds and real estate funds, and they come from various sectors including telecoms, banking and insurance and the pharmaceutical industry.

In recent years, Paulo has represented clients in complex, high-value court cases involving the potential civil liability of directors and supervisory boards of listed companies.

He has dealt with insolvency proceedings, special corporate recovery processes, debt restructuring operations and restructuring of groups of companies. Paulo also advises on financial transactions, credit assignments, asset purchases and M&A.

Since 2016, he has been a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon in the subjects of civil procedure, commercial law and company law.

Paulo is currently attending a master’s course in legal sciences at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and he is a member of the IPPC - Portuguese Institute of Civil Procedure.
