Bruno is a senior counsel in the Tax pratice. He has almost 20 years’ experience as a lawyer, after beginning his career in tax, he now specialises in advising on foreign investment projects and on reorganising investment projects, including exchange issues, contracts and associated taxation.
As a specialist in the Angolan market, Bruno has worked with the largest companies in the region and in a range of sectors, bur focusing on clients from the oil and gas, telecoms, electronics, aviation and manufacturing sectors. He also has significant experience in other foreign markets working on cross-border matters.
Bruno has a law degree from the University of Lisbon and completed a postgraduate course in tax at the Higher Institute of Economics and Management.
Bruno won the prestigious Iberian Lawyer ‘40 under forty’ award in 2017 and, on this occasion, he also received the Outstanding Achievement award. The latter was for his work giving international legal advice to clients with operations in Africa or with a base on the continent. He is the only Portuguese private practice lawyer to have received this award.
Before joining PLMJ, he worked at Deloitte and at the law firms of lawyers Miranda Correia Amendoeira & Associados and Raposo Bernardo.
