About Rita

Rita is a senior counsel in the Banking and Finance and Capital Markets practices. With 15 years' professional experience, she advises on transactional and regulatory matters in banking and finance, capital markets, and sustainable financing.

She has also advised on corporate finance and corporate governance matters.

Rita has an LLM in corporate law from the the Faculty of law of Universidade Nova de Lisboa. She also completed postgraduate studies in corporate finance at the Faculty of law of the University of Lisbon and in commercial law at the Faculty of law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Besides these studies, Rita has an Advanced LLM in international business law from the Católica Global School of Law and a certification in sustainable financing from the Institute for Sustainability Leadership of the University of Cambridge.

Before joining PLMJ, Rita was head of the Corporate & Finance Law Department of TAP Air Portugal and a senior associate at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira.
