PLMJ advises JLL on sale of business unit

PLMJ was recently responsible, working with Watson, Farley & Williams, for advising JLL on Portuguese law in the sale of its Iberian property management business to MVGM. The purchaser is a leading European asset management group of Dutch origin.

The work involved a team of PLMJ lawyers from several areas including partner Manuel Santos Vítor and associate Catarina Santinha from the Corporate M&A practice, and Ana Varela Costa, an associate from the Employment and Labour practice.

JLL has an international presence and is one of the leading real estate consultants in the Portuguese market. In the first half of 2018, it registered an overall turnover of €1.5 billion from property. This amount includes deals involving investment properties, land and projects for property development, and the sale of residential units.
