Nuno Líbano Monteiro, the partner who heads PLMJ's litigation practice, has spoken to Dinheiro Vivo and Diário de Notícias about the Socialist Party proposal to stop charging orders for tax debts when the property is worth more than the outstanding tax. “What happens if the taxpayer's only asset is the property where they live? Can the debt be recovered?”, asks the PLMJ partner who believes the programme is still "inadequate".
