Pedro Metello de Nápoles says it is “natural” that Portuguese law firms have been the ones to advise Portuguese investors on their expansion into Angola

The newspaper Expresso has analysed the growing dynamism of Angola and how it has attracted so many Portuguese lawyers who work there in partnerships with local lawyers because foreign citizens cannot practice law in Angola. For Pedro Metello de Nápoles, the partner who coordinates PLMJ’s Angola Desk, “the countries that make up the CPLP (Community of Portuguese Language Countries) have, for a long time, been a target for Portuguese investors and it is only natural that Portuguese law firms have sought be a part of this expansion”.
