In an opinion article, PLMJ's managing partner explains that Special Purpose Acquisition Vehicles (SPACs), "have special characteristics that may complement our still insufficient capital market".
In another analysis of the SPAC, which is being used increasingly and is available to the legislature, Bruno Ferreira, believes that the introduction of SPACs in Portugal would allow for a development in the national equity market. Moreover, this steps is recommended by the OECD in its study on the Portuguese market.
