PLMJ Lawyers guests at a Dinner – Debate on Innovation and Intellectual Property

PLMJ Lawyers participated in a Dinner- Debate on Innovation and IP Rights as key forces for the Portuguese economical growth.

Manuel Lopes Rocha and José Luis da Cruz Vilaça, PLMJ Equity Partners  heading the Firm’s IP, Trademark and Patent and the EU Law and Competition Practices, respectively; Claudia Trabuco, PLMJ Consultant for the same areas and Paula Martinho da Silva, PLMJ Senior Associate and the activity leader of the Firm’s Life Sciences team, participated the past 27th of May at the Dinner – Debate organized by Microsoft under the theme ”Innovation and IP Rights as key factors for the  Portuguese economical development“.

Limited to a small number of guests, the debate counted with the initial interventions of the Minister of Culture, Dr. José António Pinto Ribeiro, and the EDP’s (Electricity of Portugal) CEO, Dr. António Mexia, followed by a free dialogue opened to all participants.

The encounter permitted the creation of a space for reflection on the importance of IP Rights as key forces for Portugal’s economical growth.
