Alexandra Mota Gomes satisfied with the outcome of the file-sharing site case

The creator of the file-sharing service BTuga received an eight-month suspended prison sentence which may be converted into a fine. Speaking to Exame Informática, PLMJ senior associate Alexandra Mota Gomes, who specialises in criminal litigation, explained that although she is satisfied with the outcome of the trial, she considers that "the creator of BTuga did not commit any crime” and will consider whether or not to appeal the decision.
