Filipa Cansado Carvalho coordinates ‘Clube Espanhol de Arbitragem’ mentoring programme

14/07/2017

Filipa Cansado Carvalho, a senior associate from PLMJ Arbitration, has been co-coordinator of the mentoring programme of the Women’s Committee of the Spanish arbitration club, Clube Espanhol de Arbitragem (CEA).

Together with Elena Gutierrez, PLMJ lawyer Cansado Carvalho will coordinate the mentoring program for women who work or plan to work in the area of arbitration.

This programme is one of a set of initiatives proposed by the recently created CEA Women’s Committee. Its objectives are to increase the visibility of women in arbitration, and to improve their representation and profile.

The CEA Women’s Committee, which was initially chaired by Elena Otero-Novas, is open to all members – both men and women – of Clube Espanhol de Arbitragem, and it seeks to involve all the club’s international chapters.
