Health and life sciences specialist Paula Martinho da Silva speaks to Público about vaccination

Paula Martinho da Silva, a PLMJ senior associate specialising in health and life sciences, has contributed to an article in the is newspaper Público on vaccination and the outbreak of measles in the USA. Martinho da Silva explains that “as the vaccination is not compulsory, a state school cannot refuse to admit an unvaccinated child. There are no legal consequences if parents decide not to vaccinate but one can talk about holding them responsible if an unvaccinated child infects another.”
