PLMJ and the APCF organise conference on “Tax justice in the fight against tax fraud”

PLMJ, in partnership with the Portuguese Association of Tax Consultants (APCF) , has organised a conference for 23 June at Hotel Dom Pedro Palace, in Lisbon. The topic of the conference is “Tax justice in the fight against tax fraud”. There will be two discussion panels and the first is dedicated to “The fight against tax fraud and evasion and the taxpayer’s relationship with the Tax Authority”. The second panel will discuss the topic “The fight against tax fraud and evasion from a criminal perspective – exchange of information and criminal investigation mechanisms; conduct of the enquiry; regularisation is and suspension of the process.”

The conference is supported by the American Chamber Of Commerce in Portugal and the Speakers Will Include PLMJ lawyers José Miguel Júdice, Nuno da Cunha Barnabé, João Magalhães Ramalho, João Medeiros, Paulo Farinha Alves, Miguel C. Reis, Serena Cabrita Neto and Leonardo Marques dos Santos. Other speakers include Francisco de Sousa da Câmara, Pres of the APCF, Manuela Duro Teixeira from BCP, Jesuíno Alcântara Martins former Director of Tax Justice at the Tax Authority, João Gama, a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Universidade Católica Portuguesa and public prosecutor, Jorge Rosário Teixeira.
