PLMJ heads TTR’s Portuguese rankings

Transactional Track Record (TTR) has published its annual report for 2019 and it reveals that PLMJ tops the list of Portuguese law firms with the largest number of M&A deals. It has held this position since 2016.

With a total of 35 deals, PLMJ handled more deals in 2019 than in 2018, and a third of them were in the energy sector. These deals had a value of around €1 billion, with only six of the 35 operations having their actual values published.

“This excellent result is a reflection of PLMJ's focus on the corporate/M&A area in 2019”, says Diogo Perestrelo, partner and co-head of PLMJ’s Corporate M&A practice.

The TTR annual report also names Duarte Schmidt Lino, co-head of the same area of practice, as the lawyer who handled the largest number of deals in one of the most important rankings in the M&A sector.
