PLMJ hires Filipe Duarte Geada

Filipe Duarte Geada is PLMJ’s newest senior associate, joining the PLMJ Tax team at the Oporto office.

The magazine Advocatus announced Filipe's arrival in an article entitled "PLMJ hires tax specialist who spent 10 years at Cuatrecasas". The article says that Filipe, who is a master of tax law, has focussed his career on the area of tax litigation and he has also handled innumerable tax inspection processes and represented clients in court, arbitration and administrative appeal cases involving tax issues.

In turn, the specialist legal publication Advogar points out that "his work has also included providing tax advice to Portuguese and international companies and corporate groups, advising on all areas this of the more and on both direct and indirect taxation".

Nuno Cunha Barnabé, the partner who heads PLMJ Tax, and Miguel Reis, a PLMJ Tax partner at the firm's Oporto office, say that hiring Filipe “is a reflection of the keen focus the firm has placed on growing this team and the Oporto office over the years.”
