PLMJ hosted roundtable on IP and IT promoted by Iberian Lawyer.

The editor of Iberian Lawyer, Scott Appleton, was in Lisbon to prepare a report on IT, IP and telecommunications, which will be the theme of an article in the next issues of the renowned magazine. Ana Teresa Pulido, a PLMJ partner from the TMT practice area who specialises in trademarks and patents and senior associate Daniel Reis, from the same practice area, represented PLMJ in a debate that also featured lawyers who specialise in this area from the firms MLGTS, VdA, RPA, Uría Menéndez, Macedo Vitorino and SRS Legal. On the table was an interesting debate on how Portugal’s current crisis is affecting this sector. The editor of Iberian Lawyer wanted to know how clients are reacting, what strategies lawyers are using to overcome difficulties, what the perspectives for the near future and possible changes in legislation are. The roundtable organised by Iberian Lawyer took place at PLMJ’s offices in Lisbon.
