PLMJ launches Volumes VI and VII of the Legal Collection, a compendium of Angolan public law and real estate legislation with commentary by PLMJ specialists

PLMJ is preparing to launch two new volumes of its Legal Collection, published by Coimbra Editora. The works now being launched includes the main real estate and public law legislation with commentary by PLMJ specialists. The presentation of book is on 27 February at 6.30 p.m. in the PLMJ Auditorium in Lisbon. The event will be opened by the chairman of the PLMJ board, Luís Sáragga Leal, followed by a brief presentation of the book by the partner who coordinates the firm’s real estate practice, Pedro Sáragga Leal.
The launch of the book will also feature the presence of representatives from the Angolan, AICEP and the Portugal-Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


Published under the auspices of PLMJ International Legal Network, the book is the first compendium of Angolan legislation in two sectors of great importance to any investment in the country and with it, PLMJ aims to share the know-how and experience is has accumulated over many of years of advising on projects and operations in Angola.


The PLMJ team for this book included lawyers from the firm’s real estate, and public law practices and from the large projects team. These lawyers specialise in real estate and construction projects, public procurement procedures, public-private partnerships and project finance among others in Angola. They work in close cooperation with the PLMJ Angola Desk PLMJ, and with the lawyers of GLA - Gabinete Legal Angola, the member firm of PLMJ International Legal Network in Luanda.

The two volumes published feature laws such as Civil Code (real property and urban letting), the Rent Law, the Land Law, the State Housing Law, the Estate Agency Law, the Notary and Land Registry Codes, the Public Procurement Laws, the Public-Private Partnerships Law, as well as the real estate investment funds and investment funds management company bills.


The PLMJ Legal Collection is made up of 7 volumes written by PLMJ lawyers from different areas of the law. All the books published represent in-depth legal studies on contemporary topics with high practical relevance.
