PLMJ lawyers speak to Iberian lawyer about infrastructure and projects

Lawyers specialising in projects and infrastructure, partners Manuel Santos Vítor and Pedro Melo and senior associate Inês Pinto da Costa, took part in Iberian Lawyer’s special dossier on projects and infrastructure. The dossier analysed the first responses to the financial crisis in Portugal and Spain in the area of infrastructure and construction projects. These specialists from PLMJ claimed that no one really knows what is going to happen, in particular because of the uncertainty in the financial markets and the weakness of the euro. Investors are still seeking a type of comfort that is not yet clear.

Pedro Melo and Inês Pinto da Costa said, however, that ways of overcoming financing issues that commercial banks have come to face are now being adopted.
