PLMJ’s Internationalisation featured in ‘Legal Week’
27/10/2009An article on PLMJ’s internationalisation appeared in the international news section of Legal Week’s 22 October edition.
Vasco Ataíde Marques, a partner in the firm and coordinator of the German Desk and the Central and Eastern European market platform, talks about PLMJ’s network of partnerships as “friendly offices”. The network includes law firms in Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, and contacts have already been made with other law firms in the Ukraine and Slovenia.
PLMJ’s Central and Eastern European market platform was set up around a year ago. Its aim is to provide support for clients who wish to invest in Central and Eastern European countries so they can find specialised legal services from PLMJ.
Tiago Mendonça de Castro speaks about PLMJ’s international partnerships in Portuguese speaking countries such as Mozambique, Angola and Brazil.
The article also mentions the new partnership formed in Macao between PLMJ and the firm DSL Lawyers and the future partnership with a firm in Cape Verde to be announced before the end of the year.
