Partner Sofia Gomes da Costa believes that international investors are changing their views on Portugal

Foreign investors have been demonstrating great interest in Portugal, above all in privatisations like those in which PLMJ has provided legal advice. In this context, the newspaper Diário Económico, sought the opinions of some lawyers on this favourable environment. Sofia Gomes da Costa, a partner in PLMJ’s corporate/M&A practice pointed out that “besides the well-known keen interest that some international groups have in privatisation processes, we are now seeing interest from international groups in investment in certain sectors of the Portuguese economy”.
