PLMJ lawyers Bruno Ferreira, Bernardo Gomes da Conceição and Raquel Burgoa Dias have contributed articles to the first Portuguese book on ESG, which is entitled ‘Estudos sobre ESG: Environmental, Social & Governance – Desafios atuais e futuros’ (Studies on ESG: Environmental, Social & Governance – Current and future challenges), and was published by Grupo Almedina.
PLMJ’s managing partner at PLMJ Bruno Ferreira wrote the article ‘The Financial Sector and CS3D’. Bernardo Gomes da Conceição, associate in the Public Law team, co-authored the article ‘Climate Mitigation and ESG’. Raquel Burgoa Dias, from the European and Competition team, wrote the article ‘The fiduciary responsibility of directors in ESG investments: a comparative analysis between the United States and the European Union’.
With contributions from leading Portuguese experts, this collective work offers a cross-cutting, critical and in-depth approach to ESG. In the current scenario, where sustainability is a fundamental pillar, this work provides a practical, dynamic and comprehensive overview of various topics, including law, markets and the environment, as well as the primary legal, ethical and economic challenges of responsible governance.
