PLMJ and the PLMJ Foundation have renewed their patronage agreement with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation

10/03/2026
PLMJ and the PLMJ Foundation have renewed their patronage agreement with the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. This reaffirms their support for the Centre for Modern Art (CAM), which began in 2023.

The three-year renewal reaffirms our commitment to promoting culture in Portugal. It will continue to support the programming and activities of one of the country's most significant venues dedicated to modern and contemporary art.

After extensive architectural renovation by Kengo Kuma, the CAM opened in 2024 and has become an important cultural hub. The centre is framed by the new garden designed by landscape architect Vladimir Djurovic.

The continuation of this partnership reflects the commitment of PLMJ and the PLMJ Foundation to cultural patronage and project development. These projects help to bring more people closer to culture and promote artistic creation in Portugal and the Portuguese-speaking world.

On behalf of the Gulbenkian Foundation, the agreement was signed by António Feijó (Chair of the Board of Directors) and Jorge Vasconcelos (Director). PLMJ was represented by Bruno Ferreira (Managing Partner) and the PLMJ Foundation by Eduardo Nogueira Pinto (Executive Chairman).
