PLMJ is supporting the annual seminar of the UIA (International Association of Lawyers) which will take place on 20 and 21 June at the Belém Cultural Centre in Lisbon. The topic of the seminar will be business restructuring with a focus on the opportunities offered by emerging markets in the area of mergers and acquisitions.
The speakers at the seminar include PLMJ lawyers and Nuno Morais Sarmento, the partner who heads PLMJ's Mozambique Desk and Tomás Pessanha, the partner who heads PLMJ's Oporto office will be members of the panels on "M&A Restructuring and Financing Deals – Splitups, Spinoffs and Carveouts”, respectively.
The Minister of Justice, Paula Teixeira da Cruz will take part in the opening ceremony while the closing session will feature Carlos Moedas, the prime minister's deputy secretary of state.
