2026 is set to be a challenging year on the road to climate transition, but according to Raquel Freitas, a senior consultant at PLMJ, there are some positive signs. They include progress in renewable energy and the first steps in the voluntary carbon market, which are essential for climate neutrality. But, unfortunately, the environmental expert says the Climate Framework Law has fallen short in its implementation, as the planned regulations have not been fully implemented, delaying fundamental measures.
