Ana is an associate in the Dispute Resolution practice who focuses on domestic and international civil and commercial disputes. She has worked on institutional (ICC, CAC-CCIP) and ad hoc arbitrations in Portugal and internationally, both as a lawyer and as tribunal secretary. She has also handled judicial litigation at home and abroad in civil and commercial disputes.
Ana earned her law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and a master's degree in International and European law from the China-EU Faculty of Law conferred by the University of Hamburg. She also completed a postgraduate course in arbitration law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and is currently a PhD candidate at NOVA Faculty of Law.
Besides being co-director of events for the Young ICCA (Young International Council for Commercial Arbitration) and a founding member of PT-VYAP (Portugal-Very Young Arbitration Practitioners), Ana is the NOVA Faculty of Law coach for the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot.
