About Matilde

Matilde is an associate in the EU and Competition Law practice. She represents Portuguese and international clients in proceedings before the European Commission and the Portuguese Competition Authority, as well as in civil liability proceedings arising from anti-competitive practices.

She also has extensive experience in EU and competition law, particularly in the defence of companies in cartel and abuse of dominance cases, competition litigation, merger control, state aid and the implementation of compliance programmes.

Matilde holds a law degree from NOVA School of Law and an LL.M. in Competition Law from Queen Mary University of London. She is currently studying for a Professional Certificate in European State Aid Law offered by Maastricht University in conjunction with Lexxion Publisher.

Before joining PLMJ, she completed summer internships at Garrigues and SPS Advogados and a curricular internship at Carlos Pinto de Abreu & Associados.
