João Prata Rodrigues
Joined PLMJ in 2017.
Senior associate in the EU and Competition Law practice.
About João
João is a senior associate in the EU and Competition Law practice and has 7 years' experience.
He advises clients on Portuguese and EU competition law, restrictive practices, abuse of dominance, compliance programmes and state aid. He has particular experience in administrative offences and private enforcement.
João holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and a master's degree in legal-criminal sciences from the same faculty. He also holds a postgraduate qualification in European Union Competition Law from King's College London and completed a postgraduate course in competition and regulation at IDEFF - Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
João is the author of several legal articles published in Portuguese and international publications.
In 2022, he worked as an adviser to the Secretary of State for Tourism, Trade and Services in the 23rd Constitutional Government.
