About João
João has a postgraduate course in European Union competition law at King’s College and a postgraduate course in competition and regulation at the IDEFF – Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.
He has a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and a master's in legal-criminal sciences from the same university.
João is the co-author of a number of legal articles including "The evolving notion of mutual recognition in the CJEU’s case law on detention", published in the Maastricht Journal of European and Comparative Law, 25(6), 2019.
